Happy Monday

Well after a weekend of constant food temptations I am back! I am actually quite proud of myself because I was at my nephew’s birthday party and didn’t have any cake and ice cream. I didn’t get much exercise in though because we had a cold and rainy weekend (no excuse, I have a bunch of tapes and dvds collecting dust around here).

We just got invited to a wedding in May. Well like any upcoming event I always hope to lose a few pounds and this time is no different. If I could work out “Biggest Loser” style in a gym with a personal trainer that would be great but I don’t have the time or money for that. I just need to motivate myself to exercise more. I really think that if I exercise more it will make me less likely to eat the wrong things because I wont want all the good work to go to waste.

I do have an elliptical trainer collecting dust in the corner of the bedroom that has been nothing but an overpriced clothes rack since we got it (given to us by my in-laws). In fact I forgot about it until the other day so I think I will have my husband drag it out for me. I should also get my weights back out and do some strength training and my Leslie Sansone dvds and do something different each day.

Here is my menu plan for today. Still not counting calories just watching portions:

Breakfast:
1 slice peanut butter toast
ocean spray diet cran-grape drink
coffee with half and half

Lunch:
Fiber one yogurt
low fat cheese stick

Dinner:
risotto with mushroom and onions (yummy)
small baked chicken breast
hot vegetable (either green beans or red beets)
skim milk

Snacks:
Carrot sticks
Fresh fruit
la lite bar and coffee or tea
